About Iglot
Iglot is a Philippine television drama series created by GMA Network. It premiered on GMA Telebabad and GMA Pinoy TV on August 29, 2011 and August 31, 2011, respectively. The shows stars Claudine Barretto, Marvin Agustin, Jolina Magdangal, Luis Alandy, Patrick Garcia, Pauleen Luna, and newcomer Milkcah Wynne Nacion.
The legend of the Unggiko tells of the odd, funny and healing creatures who are pets of the human-birds Mulawin. In the middle of the war, the Ravenas attacked and killed the Unggiko except for one egg which Aviona saved. This egg is hidden inside a volcano and will only go out when the volcano erupts. This volcanic eruption led to the separation of Mariella and her daughter Luningning, who ended up in the hands of Lola Idang. The little girl found a peculiar egg which she named Iglot. On the other hand, Mariella was made to believe that her daughter is dead, though in her heart she knows she is not.
